Sebastien Loeb's chances of victory in Rally Sweden look to be over after the world champion lost nearly two minutes with a mistake on SS7.

Citroen driver Loeb was running third but had just closed to within 6.7sec of the rally lead when he won the first stage out of service this afternoon. But he then went off the road and got stuck on a snowbank just two corners into the seventh stage, dropping him to 11th overall.

Loeb's Citroen teammate Mikko Hirvonen continues to lead the rally, just 1.1sec ahead of Ford's Jari-Matti Latvala.

Despite getting stuck behind Loeb as the Citroen rejoined, Adapta Ford driver Mads Ostberg is still fending off works Ford man Petter Solberg for third.
