Coming off the best finish for the Doran Racing Rolex Series team in five years, drivers Memo Gidley and Dion VonMoltke are eager to take things to another level at this weekend's Bosch Engineering 250 at Virginia International Raceway.

The No. 77 McDonald's Doran placed fourth at Barber Motorsports Park earlier this month, and Gidley is hopeful of building on that. "There is nothing like a good finish to pump everybody up. I am very happy and proud of everybody who is part of the McDonald's effort," said former Champ Car driver Gidley. "The best thing about the last finish is that it was no fluke. We were strong at Barber in previous years, just as we were strong at VIR last year. I am excited to hit the track and think we are going to have another great weekend."

After Saturday's race, Muscle Milk extreme athlete Gidley will once again grab a red-eye flight back to California so that he can make round 2 of the DJSA Outlaw Jet Ski Series race at Camp Far West in Wheatland, Calif.

"People thought I was crazy to race the double last weekend, so I thought I would do it again!" said Gidley. "I will admit, with all the travel and lack of sleep, it was grueling.  But grueling is what makes you stronger and I like the challenge."

VIR-JetskiGidley, who is the 2009 DJSA Super 800 class champion, was bumped up to the Super 850 Expert Class this year and finished fourth in the last race.  "Fourth place in my last race at Salt Springs was awesome because of the super rough water and much stiffer competition," related Gidley. "I have been training really hard and have high expectations for myself this year in the DJSA Championship...I'm excited to hit the next race and show what I can do!"
