GP3 and Formula 3 Euro Series front runner Nigel Melker will run with Arden International in the GP2 tests at Jerez on 28-29 September. The 20-year-old Dutchman is contesting both F3 and GP3 with Mucke Motorsport this year, and was third in the GP3 standings and currently holds fourth in the F3 championship.
"I have learned a lot in 2011 and I have proved that I can get good results," said Melker. "I'm looking forward to work with team Arden International. We have had a good conversation and I really like the mentality of the team.
"For me it's a logical step to go to the GP2 series and eventually try to get into F1. But first I need to have a lot of experience."
Arden ran Josef Kral and Jolyon Palmer in GP2 this year, with the former taking two podium finishes. The team was 11th in the final standings.
