Jamie McMurrayDouble IndyCar champion Scott Dixon and 2010 Daytona 500 winner Jamie McMurray will try out each other's cars in a promotional event in Alabama on March 16.

While 2008 Formula 1 World Champion Lewis Hamilton and double NASCAR Sprint Cup champion Tony Stewart reportedly are to swap cars at Watkins Glen this summer, although there has been no formal announcement, Ganassi duo Dixon and McMurray will change disciplines later this month. McMurray will test Dixon's Target Chip Ganassi Racing Dallara-Honda IndyCar at Barber Motorsports Park after the IZOD IndyCar Series' preseason test at the track. Dixon will then try McMurray's Earnhardt Ganassi NASCAR Chevrolet Impala at Talladega Superspeedway on the same day.

The IndyCar Series is hoping that leading NASCAR names will be among those interested in shooting for its $5 million bonus for any guest driver able to win its season finale at Las Vegas in October. Although McMurray's EGR NASCAR teammate Juan Pablo Montoya has played down the chances of any current Cup driver being able to race in both their own Charlotte event and IndyCar's Las Vegas race on the same weekend, the sudden interest by NASCAR drivers in trying out IndyCar equipment is intriguing...
