A marshal escaped unhurt after being hit by Sebastien Buemi's Formula 1 car in a Red Bull demonstration event in Japan at the weekend.
The man appeared to be attempting to run across the course before Buemi passed, but had to jump as it approached and landed on the Red Bull "running show car" before tumbling off. The concerned Buemi immediately stopped but the marshal got up unharmed.
Toro Rosso driver Buemi had been driving the Red Bull demonstration car at Makuhari's Big Beach Music Festival as part of a fund-raising push for the Japan earthquake relief fund, and also demonstrated the car through Yokohama Motomachi Shopping Street on Sunday.
"I am extremely happy to be able to visit Japan and give wings to the Japanese people after the horrible events of March 11," Buemi said. "The next time I come to Japan will be for Suzuka but as always I look forward to seeing everybody because the Japanese fans are among the most dedicated in the world."
