NIgel Melker RSC Mucke GP3 Hungaroring 2011

Daniel Mancinelli will make his GP3 Series debut at Spa this weekend after joining RSC Mucke Motorsport for the final two rounds of the season. The 23-year-old Italian replaces Luciano Bacheta at the team following the British driver's decision to compete in Formula 2 at Spielberg instead.

"I have reached an agreement with [RSC] Mucke Motorsport, surely one of the most competitive team in Europe, to run the last two rounds of 2011 GP3 Series at Spa and Monza.

"I know that will hard for me because I don't know the car, but I hope to do a good job and plan something for the next year. I hope to end this season better than it started."

Mancinelli, who will join team regulars Nigel Melker and Michael Christensen (pictured), won the Italian Formula Renault title in 2009 and won twice on his way to fourth in his domestic F3 championship last year. He began 2011 as one of the favorites for the Italian F3 crown, but won just one of the first six races and quit the series while lying ninth overall.
