Ricardo Teixeira will drive the Lotus T128 during the second day of testing at Barcelona this afternoon. The 28-year-old Portuguese-born Angolan sampled the Lotus for the first time two weeks ago, driving during the team's filming day at Valencia following the conclusion of the opening preseason test. He is scheduled to be in the car for 30 laps today as part of his ongoing evaluation for a test driver role.
Heikki Kovalainen has started the day behind the wheel of the T128 and is due to be back in the car after Teixeira's run to complete a race distance at the end of the day.
Teixeira raced in Formula 2 in 2010, GP2 in 2009 and spent four seasons in British Formula 3 prior to that.
