Jarno Trulli and Heikki Kovalainen will be in Putrajaya this Saturday to participate in a street demonstration organized by Team Lotus.
Ahead of next weekend's Malaysian Grand Prix, the Lotus teammates will "compete" on a temporary street circuit in the administrative capital as part of a showcase arranged in collaboration with the Sepang International Circuit and Team Lotus partner AirAsia.
SIC Chief Executive Officer Dato Ahmad Razlan Ahmad Razali is expected to attend the demonstration outside Malaysia's Palace of Justice, as are several Malaysian cabinet ministers.
"This will be the first-ever demo in Putrajaya," Razali said. "This fantastic event is aimed at building the F1 excitement for the fans and to tell them the 2011 Formula 1 Malaysia Grand Prix is coming.
"It is also aimed at creating the excitement of F1 and for greater awareness on the sports; bringing fans closer to the race. We hope that it would create more interest among the motorsport fans, especially at the grass-roots. This event is a special way by the team to introduce themselves to Malaysians and to create more awareness for this Malaysian-initiated team."
