Jorge Lorenzo will not race in the MotoGP finale at the Valencia circuit, his Yamaha team said on Wednesday.
The Spanish rider was forced to miss the Australian and Malaysian Grands Prix after injuring a finger of his left hand in a crash at Phillip Island. Yamaha said Lorenzo continues to make good progress in his recovery following plastic surgery to repair the damage, but confirmed the Spaniard will be absent from the final race of the year.
Test rider Katsuyuki Nakasuga, who replaced Lorenzo in Malaysia, will stand in for the 2010 series champion again.
