Freddy Loix, Skoda, Ypres 2010Freddy Loix will contest the Madeira, Zlin and Sanremo rounds of this year's Intercontinental Rally Challenge, following his victory on the Ypres Rally last month.

The 39-year-old Belgian will again drive a Skoda Fabia Super 2000, run by the Belgian Rene Georges Rally Sport operation in Portugal, Czech Republic and Italy.

"Every year I'm thinking to stop but every year I'm back and this year I will be quite busy," Loix said. "I know Madeira is a bit more difficult for me than Ypres, which I know very well, because it is in the mountains but it will be good practice and more time in the car.

"I have also won once the Barum Rally and last year I was quite quick there until I broke a wheel. I know Sanremo, too."

Loix won last month's Ypres Rally on his first IRC outing this year – the sixth time he has won the event in his career.
