Six-time World Rally Champio Sebastien Loeb has backed the FFSA's decision to move France's round of the World Rally Championship from Corsica to his home region of Alsace.
Loeb, who has not been beaten on the Tour of Corsica since 2004, said he would look forward to driving at home, but added that he retained fond memories of Corsica - not least winning his first world championship there in 2004.
"Of course I am happy that the FFSA has decided to choose Alsace for the region to host the French round of the 2010 championship," he said. "It's great for me as I come from that area.
"I still want to underline that I have good memories in Corsica, a rally where we have been successful and where we have always felt very welcome. The choice for Alsace was done after a tender and maybe it is because this committee has put together an interesting proposal which the FFSA has found suitable for Rallye de France."
