Sebastien LoebWorld Rally Champion Sebastien Loeb will drive a Ferrari 458 GT3 at the final round of this year's French GT Tour later this month.

Loeb's car will be prepared by AF Corse for the Paul Ricard round on Oct. 29-30 and the seven-time WRC champion says he will be aiming for a podium at the event.

"Every year I have fun racing," said Loeb. "My program is usually very busy, but the timing for this was perfect. Everything came together to be involved on a beautiful circuit like Paul Ricard. It is great to be involved in the final round of a championship which I really appreciate."

Loeb's teammate in what will be a Red Bull-backed Ferrari will be announced shortly. The Frenchman will face such drivers as Anthony Beltoise (Porsche 997) and Stephane Ortelli (Audi R8).

Loeb will begin his preparations for the race soon after completing the Catalunya Rally the weekend before. Citroen driver Loeb is currently tied at the top of the WRC table with Ford's Mikko Hirvonen.

Loeb has also talked of discussing a future project during the race weekend at the end of the month. That project is believed to be a new race series organized in his name through the PH Sport company in which he is a part owner.
