Sebastien Loeb is refusing to give up the fight for Rally GB victory, despite dropping more time to leader Jari-Matti Latvala on Saturday morning.
While Latvala moved 26.1 seconds ahead of the Frenchman, Loeb closed the gap to second-placed Petter Solberg and admitted the Norwegian's Fiesta was his first target. He is also trying to escape Mads Ostberg, who is just 12.2sec behind in fourth place.
"The morning was OK, it was a little bit better than yesterday afternoon, but still not very good," said Loeb. "Jari-Matti is driving very well, he is very fast and we are still behind him. The good thing from the morning is that we did take some time from Petter and the fight is on.
"I will continue to push for sure, we are only four seconds behind Petter, but also Mads is close in fourth."
A fourth Rally GB victory for Loeb would be his eighth win of the year. The Citroen team plans to keep trying new settings in order to dial the DS3 WRC into the requirements of the Welsh stages.
