Sebastien Loeb is hoping to recreate his finest hour in the World Rally Championship at home in France this week, when the 38-year-old chases his ninth straight WRC title.
With tens of thousands of fans already arriving in Loeb's home region of France, the Citroen driver admitted there was more pressure for him to deliver, especially after his early engine failure in this event last season.
"There are a lot of people here," said Loeb. "Already on the recce, they were at the start and finish of the stages, everywhere. I'm looking forward to this rally, though.
"Two years ago we won both of the championships on this rally and that was my best memory [in rallying]. This time we are in exactly the same situation, but we have three tough days of rallying before."
To win the drivers' championship, Loeb has to finish the Strasbourg-based event ahead of his Citroen teammate Mikko Hirvonen.
Ahead of his home round of the WRC, Loeb talked more about his plans for next year, saying: "Maybe I will do four or five rallies and it would be nice to end the season here on this rally."
