More paint-tradin' ahead? (LAT photos)
ESPN reports that Lewis Hamilton and Tony Stewart are set to test each other's Formula 1 and NASCAR Sprint Cup cars at Watkins Glen later this summer, in an exhibition along the lines of the famous "Tradin' Paint" ride-swap at Indianapolis involving Jeff Gordon and then-F1 driver Juan Pablo Montoya back in 2003.
The sports network's Marty Smith reported that the exhibition has been organized by Mobil 1, sponsor of both Stewart-Haas Racing and Hamilton's McLaren team. Hamilton would drive one of Stewart's current Cup Chevrolets on the upstate New York road course, while Stewart would drive one of last year's McLaren-Mercedes MP4-25s.
Neither Stewart nor Hamilton has commented on the report, which ESPN says was confirmed Saturday by Stewart-Haas Racing spokesman Mike Arning.
