The first practice session of the 2010 Le Mans 24 Hours has been red-flagged after 90 minutes after Grosjean lost control of the No. 60 Matech Competition Ford GT at Maison Blanche. This is Grosjean's first attempt at Le Mans.

The car was running third in the GT1 class at the time. It was returned to the pits on a flatbed truck with heavy damage to the rear and the session restarted at 6 p.m. local time.

The second-placed Ford GT driven by Markus Palttala halted on track with an electrical failure shortly before the red flag.
