Jon Lancaster will make his GP2 debut this year with Ocean Racing Technology.
The 23-year-old Briton only contested a handful of Formula 2 and Auto GP races in 2011, although he was a winner in the latter championship. Lancaster last raced full-time in Formula Renault 3.5 two years ago.
"Words cannot describe how I feel about this opportunity," said Lancaster. "There have been a lot of ups and downs over the past few years, but now that I have this opportunity, I'm looking forward to getting the job done."
Lancaster joins GP3 graduate Nigel Melker at Ocean, and has begun testing for the team at Barcelona today.
