Lamborghini will continue to be represented in the FIA GT1 World Championship this year, with Reiter Engineering running cars in the series.
Hans Reiter's squad, which has run Lamborghinis in various championships over the past decade, will field a pair of Gallardo LP600+ machines in the series, which is switching from GT1 to GT3 machinery for the coming season.
Reiter said championship boss Stephane Ratel's work to guarantee races in Asia and Russia was instrumental in his decision to compete.
"Stephane worked very hard to achieve his aim of ensuring that the races of this great championship are going to take place all over the world. So it has become a true world championship at a very high level and with top-class cars. As a manufacturer, the Asian and Russian markets have become very important for us. The world championship will be a major platform for all parties," Reiter said.
No drivers have been confirmed for the program, although Reiter regular Peter Kox is virtually certain to be behind the wheel of one of the cars.
Lamborghini is the sixth manufacturer to confirm its representation in the series. It joins Audi, BMW, McLaren, Ferrari and Mercedes.
