Flying Lizard Motorsports has brought in Andy Lally to sub for Porsche factory driver Marco Holzer for the American le Mans Series race at Mosport's Canadian Tire Motorsport Park this weekend. Holzer has a scheduling conflict, and so Lally will race alongside team principal Seth Neiman in the team's No. 44 Porsche.
It's Lally's second start of the year for the Lizards, having also competed in the season opening Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring. Lally, Neiman and Darren Law finished sixth, the best result of the year for the No. 44.
Lally's normal team in the Grand-Am Rolex Series – Magnus Racing – was to have had Lizard's Patrick Long as a third driver in Watkins Glen, but the Magnus Porsche incurred an electrical fire on the dash that knocked the team out in the first hour with Magnus team principal John Potter driving.
