Robert Kubica underwent his final operation on Wednesday at the Santa Corona hospital where he has been staying since his rallying accident.
The Pole had surgery for eight hours as the doctors treated the complex fracture to his elbow, stabilizing and reconstructing the damaged fragments of the joint structure.
"At the end of the surgery, the doctors were pleased with the outcome, with the procedure being completed successfully," said his Renault team in a statement.
Kubica will remain in intensive care for a few days to recover from the operation.
