Audi Le Mans star Tom Kristensen is looking forward to the Porsche's return as a factory prototype team at Le Mans next year.
The eight-time Le Mans victor will share an Audi R18 e-tron quattro with Allan McNish and Loic Duval at the 24 Hours later this month, but is already relishing the fight with the sister Volkswagen Group company in 2014.
"Porsche coming back is wonderful," Kristensen commented after the as yet unnamed car ran for the first time this week. "Le Mans has to be as strong as possible and [VW Group chairman] Ferdinand Piech loves family fights!
"We know [Porsche LMP1 drivers] Timo Bernhard and Romain Dumas from when they were at Audi and now we have seen a little more. Porsche are the most successful marque at Le Mans. That's what they are coming back to defend and hopefully we will see them in the world championship, too. We look forward to that."
