The inaugural Korean Grand Prix was red-flagged after just two laps on Sunday when conditions made it impossible to continue.
The start of the race had already been delayed by 10 minutes because of rain, which had fallen since Saturday evening and intensified in the minutes before the race. The FIA decided that the race would start behind the safety car, but with the rain intensifying it was decided on the third lap that the race would be red flagged.
Fernando Alonso had told his team over the radio that they were the worst conditions he had ever driven in.
The FIA is likely to wait until conditions improve before attempting to start the race again.
