Christian Klien, HRT, Singapore GPChristian Klien was happy to be back behind the wheel of a racing car in practice for the Singapore Grand Prix.

The Austrian is replacing Sakon Yamamoto at the Hispania team after the Japanese driver was forced to sit out the race due to illness. This weekend's event marks the first time Klien will race in F1 since the 2006 season.

The Hispania driver was pleased with his first day of work, despite finishing at the bottom of the times.

"I am happy to be back racing, which wasn't easy at the beginning of the first session as I only did 40 laps in this car before," said Klien. "But I felt more and more comfortable in the cockpit and could learn a lot and get more experience.

"I found a good pace on the prime tires, even if I lost some time on the options compared to my teammate. I am looking forward to tomorrow and I hope to improve again."
