K1 Speed, the nation's largest indoor kart racing enterprise, is expanding beyond the West Coast and Northwest with its newest location in Phoenix, Ariz. The 50,000sqft indoor kart racing facility features a professionally designed racetrack, high-performance electric karts that are capable of reaching speeds of 45mph, and a wide collection of authentic racing memorabilia.
Company partner Boris Said will be officially opening the new facility on Saturday, Feb. 26. He will spend the evening from 6-9 p.m. signing autographs and talking to customers, racing enthusiasts, and invited guests alike. Frank Stoddard, 14-time winning NASCAR Sprint Cup crew chief and now NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race team owner, will also be attending the event, along with his No. 32 Ford Fusion driver, Mike Skinner.
K1 Speed Phoenix will welcome novice and seasoned adult drivers, as well as children who meet the minimum height requirement, to enjoy an authentic racing experience and atmosphere. The center's large indoor kart track features a challenging combination of long straights and hairpin turns for true racing thrills. Everyone's performance is recorded by the real-time K1 Speed Race Scoring system, which seamlessly integrates all K1 Speed locations, so racers will see their fastest lap time, their average lap time, and how their performance stacks up against competitors in addition to how they rank among more than 1,000,000 K1 Speed drivers to date.
