Bruno Junqueira was selected to drive the FAZZT team's second entry in the Indianapolis 500 partly as payback for handing over his qualified car to FAZZT regular Alex Tagliani when they were both driving for Conquest Racing last year, but now the Brazilian could be stranded for a second straight year. FAZZT team manager Rob Edwards told the Indianapolis Star that funding issues could force the team to cancel plans to run a second car for the 2002 Indy polesitter.
"There is some question," Edwards said about whether Junqueira would run. "But the car's here, and it's being prepared. It's that wacky world of racing."
