Nic Jonsson claimed his first career Rolex Series pole with a time of 48.786 (110.687mph), at Lime Rock Park in Krohn Racing's No. 75 Ford Lola. Rounding out the top five overall were Antonio Garcia, Ricky Taylor, Jon Fogarty and Memo Rojas.

In GT, Jordan Taylor laid down the fastest time of 53:315 (101.284mph) in the No. 30 Mazda RX-8. The 19-year-old college student joins his brother, Ricky, in scoring their first career Rolex Series poles in 2010.

Taylor was trailed by Adam Christodolou, James Gue, Sylvain Tremblay and Andy Lally, who was the only non-Mazda driver to break into the top five.
