NASCAR Camping World Truck Series champion Johnny Benson suffered multiple burns in a fiery crash during a SuperModified race on Saturday night.

Benson, who lost his Truck Series ride with Red Horse Racing last week when the team suspended his program due to a lack of sponsorship, was competing at Berlin Raceway in Marne, Mich. A collision with another car resulted in Benson being trapped in the burning wreck. Benson, 45, reportedly suffered multiple injuries, including burns and broken ribs.
