Joel Miller tested one of Andersen Racing's Firestone Indy Lights cars this week at Palm Beach International Raceway, alongside Gustavo Yacaman and Richard Kent. It has been well over a year since Miller, who raced in the Star Mazda Championship this season, had driven an Indy Lights car.
“Getting more seat time in the Indy Lights car and continue learning its characteristics was huge," said Miller. "I have to thank Dan Andersen and everybody at the program for this opportunity first off. The advice and data from the engineers helped me adapt to the car quickly. It was nice to see that I could be right on pace straight away. There is definitely more that I can learn about the car but am quite happy that my time was as competitive as it was. There is more to come, for sure.”
While currently "evaluating all options" for next season, Miller said his focus is on securing an Indy Lights program for 2010.
