Sarah Fisher Racing will field a second car driven by Jay Howard next season, as well as expanding Fisher's effort to nine races next season.
Fisher, who ran six races this season, including Saturday's season finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway, has re-signed with Dollar General as a primary sponsor. She will compete at Indianapolis, Kansas, Texas, Iowa, Kentucky, Chicago and Miami and well as the St. Petersburg street course and the Barber Motorsports Park road course. Meanwhile, Howard will race at Indy, Texas, Mid-Ohio and Chicago.
“What they're all about is exactly what I'm looking for,” said Howard, the 2006 Indy Pro Series champion. “I told Sarah I'd go streaking as soon as the deal was done. I'm stoked to be a part of it.”
Howard's primary sponsor will be Tire Kingdom.
"Jay and I are going to make a great team," said Fisher. "Having a partner out there changes everything. We can share data for our cars, and it gives us both an edge for solving any issues during a race. Two minds are always better than one."
