James Bond's 1964 Aston Martin DB5 is for sale.
The 1964 car, famous for its revolving license plate, among other gadgets – is officially registered as FMP 7B and is the only remaining DB5 used for filming the Goldfinger and Thunderball movies.
The car, which is expected to raise around $6 million when it is auctioned in London on Oct. 27, comes factory-fitted with all the modifications conceived by Oscar-award-winning special effects expert John Stears. Highlights include machine guns, a bullet-proof shield, a tracking device, the revolving plates, a removable roof panel, an oil slick sprayer and nail spreader and smoke screen, all of which are controlled from switches in the center armrest.
All proceeds from the sale will be used to boost the charitable work of The Jerry Lee Foundation, a charity set up by Philadelphia-area radio station owner Jerry Lee, who has owned the car since 1969.
