Mat Jackson on the Thruxton podiumMat Jackson has extended his British Touring Car Championship deal with the RML Chevrolet squad to include this weekend's Donington Park rounds.

The 2008 runner-up won on his series comeback with RML last time out at Thruxton on what was initially a one-off outing with the squad. He remains hopeful of extending the deal to encompass all the remaining rounds as soon as possible.

"We'll definitely be at Donington and potentially the deal can include the rest of the year as well - that's my hope," Jackson told AUTOSPORT. "It certainly feels better knowing that after all the work that [teammate] Jason [Plato] and I put in at Thruxton, that we go to Donington on the front foot and ready to attack."

Jackson, who lies eighth in the championship, confirmed that his Lacetti, which was run as an RML entry at Thruxton, will be entered under the same Racing Silverline banner as his team-mate Jason Plato at Donington.
