The leading drivers from this year's Italian Formula 3 Championship had their first taste of Formula 1 on Thursday, when they tested a 2008 Ferrari at Vallelunga.
Fiat's involvement in Italian F3 has seen its top three get Ferrari F1 tests since 2008, and this year champion Cesar Ramos was joined by nearest challengers Stephane Richelmi and Andrea Caldarelli for the session. No times were released by the team.
"Taking to the track in a Ferrari Formula 1 car was an incredible experience, better than anything I expected," said Ramos. "I tried to enjoy it as much as possible, because it really was a dream come true.
"During the session I was guided by a group of professionals who made me feel perfectly at ease and that contributed to making it an unforgettable experience."
