The Intercontinental Rally Challenge has added an extra event in Ukraine to its 2011 calendar.
The asphalt Prime Yalta Rally is scheduled for June 2-4 next year. It becomes the fourth all-new event on the 2011 IRC schedule, alongside Argentina's Rally de los Alerces, Hungary's Mecsek Rallye and former World Rally Championship round the Tour de Corse.
Geraldine Filiol, managing director of IRC organizer Eurosport Events, said: "The addition of four new events to our 2011 schedule will pose an exciting challenge for our competitors and a great spectacle for the fans watching on the stages and at home on television."
In other alterations to the IRC calendar, the Alerces round has moved back one week to March 11-13, while the Canarias round – which had been scheduled for April 14-16 – is awaiting a revised slot and is listed as "to be confirmed" on the new schedule.
