Interwetten Racing has confirmed that Adrian Zaugg will lead its Formula Renault 3.5 assault this season.
The Austrian team's decision follows a spate of late signings in the category, which have boosting the grid for this weekend's season opener at Barcelona to 23 cars.
South African Zaugg has been racing in A1GP since competing in GP2 with Arden in 2007. The 22-year-old has previous experience of FR3.5, having impressed while filling in for the injured Sebastian Vettel at Carlin Motorsport in 2006.
Former driver Salvador Duran was linked to the Interwetten's second seat this week, but Formula BMW Europe graduate Mihai Marinescu is set to take the drive.
The 20-year-old Romanian drove for the team in the final pre-season test at Barcelona in March, alongside former IndyCar racer Franck Perera.
