SPEEDtv.com's Robin Miller reports that IndyCar CEO Randy Bernard is working on a plan to offer USAC's best drivers a ride for all the oval races on the Firestone Indy Lights schedule in 2011.
“One of the things I hear most from fans and media is that we need more American drivers and I agree, I think it's very important,” said Bernard, who has attended several USAC events over the summer. “There are a lot of good young racers in USAC who deserve a chance to compete in the Indianapolis 500 and USAC is a valuable part of our heritage in Indy cars.”
