IndyCar sets July 14 as announcement date for new chassis
The IZOD IndyCar Series will announce details "regarding its future car strategy during a media event Wednesday, July 14, in Indianapolis," the series announced. The event is expected to reveal the recommendations from the advisory committee considering new chassis proposals from BART, Dallara, DeltaWing, Lola and Swift. The 2012 IndyCar engine rules, which include a return to turbocharged power, were announced earlier this month.

"We look forward to unveiling our plans to our teams, drivers, partners, fans and the media during a special event on July 14."
IZOD IndyCar Series officials and ICONIC (Innovative, Competitive, Open-Wheel, New, Industry-Relevant, Cost-Effective) Advisory Committee members will not comment about the next generation of chassis until the July 14 news conference.
