One of IMSA's developmental divisions looks to build off a successful first season with an increased second season of the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Canada.

The five-event, nine-race season kicks off at the annual Victoria Day SpeedFest at Mosport International Raceway in May. The Platinum and Gold Cup competitors will then be invited to join their American counterparts at the Formula 1 Canadian Grand Prix at Montreal's Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve, followed by a new venue for the series, the historic Circuit Mont-Tremblant.

The series will once again compete alongside the American Le Mans Series and U.S.-based IMSA GT3 Cup Challenge at the refurbished Mosport International Raceway. The series will conclude at the first venue visited in their inaugural season, Calabogie Motorsports Park.

GT3 Canada series competitors will participate alongside fellow IMSA developmental divisions, the U.S. GT3 and Cooper Tires Prototype Lites Series in testing at Sebring on Feb. 6-7, 2012.
