Nico Hulkenberg has split with manager Willi Weber, who was most famous for looking after the career of Michael Schumacher.
Hulkenberg is currently Force India's reserve driver, taking part in Friday sessions, and is pushing hard to find his way back into a race seat after being dropped by Williams at the end of last year. In a short statement, the 23-year-old Hulkenberg has announced that he will now be looking after his own affairs in F1, with backing from a former PR man.
"Both sides are currently working on a smooth changeover and on a satisfying solution for [everyone]. Hulkenberg will from now on be supported in executing his management issues by his former PR advisor Timo Gans," the statement explained.
