World Touring Car Champion Rob Huff will make his Bathurst debut next month in the 12-hour race at the legendary circuit.
The 33-year-old Briton won last year's WTCC crown for Chevrolet, but is currently without a full-time drive for the coming season. He has signed for Peter Conroy Motorsport to drive an Audi R8 LMS ultra with the car's owner and another James Winslow, the reigning Australian Formula 3 champion.
In the wake of Chevrolet's announcement last July that it was withdrawing from the WTCC as a factory entrant Huff revealed that a V8 Supercar drive is something that appealed to him. Race organizers reported that Huff is using the 12-hour race in a bid to learn the circuit ahead of any possible V8 deal in the future.
Other big names taking part in the race include V8 Supercar front-runner Craig Lowndes and Superstars champion Johan Kristoffersson in Audis, Shane van Gisbergen in a Porsche, Mika Salo in a Ferrari and five-time DTM champion Bernd Schneider in a Mercedes.
