Hispania Racing has used up one of its four curfew exceptions, after working overnight to try and get its car ready for the opening day of practice in Australia.
The team has not yet tested the new F111, and its mechanics have been doing all they can to get the car finished in time for this weekend. HRT is hoping its efforts pay off and, although it may not get out for first practice, it is hoping that it can run in second practice.
A note from the FIA confirmed that no action would be taken against the team for breaching for the first time the six hour curfew that has been imposed on track personnel this year.
"Last night team personnel of the HRT team who are associated with the operation of the car were within the confines of the circuit during the six hour period which commenced at 2:30 on March 25, 10 hours before the scheduled start time of P1," said the FIA. "This was the first of the four individual exceptions permitted for the HRT team during the 2011 season and therefore no action should be taken."
