HRT to shift focus to 2012 'very soon'The Hispania Racing F1 team says it will shift its focus to the 2012 car "very soon," but team boss Colin Kolles insists it is still setting its sights on securing 10th place in the championship.

"We will switch very soon to the 2012 car," said Kolles, who also revealed the team will start working in Mercedes' wind tunnel next month, as the Spanish squad ramps up its efforts to take a step forward.

The team scored its best-ever result in the previous race in Canada, with Tonio Liuzzi finishing in 13th position ahead of teammate Narain Karthikeyan. That equaled Team Lotus' best of the year, although Hispania is still behind in the standings because Lotus has finished 13th twice. Kolles insisted, however, that Hispania is looking to move ahead of its rivals to secure the coveted 10th position.

"There are still a lot of races left this season. We want to improve our results and achieve our target of being 10th in the constructor's championship."
