The Hispania Racing team has announced the constitution of a new board following the takeover by Spanish businessman Jose Ramon Carabante before the start of the season.
HRT said Spanish businessman and former minister of economy Miguel Boyer will be joining the board, alongside fellow businessman Alberto Cortina, who was included in Forbes magazine as having one of the 1,000 major fortunes of the world. The rest of the members are Carlos Cutillas, Manuel Delgado, Luis Delso, Julio Diaz, Fernando Fernandez and Jose Luiz Zanetty.
The new members will take possession of their new positions during the next shareholders meeting.
"This shows how HRT F1 Team, Hispania Racing, is strongly trying to keep on growing day by day in order to develop to a more strong, lasting and competitive team in Formula 1," the team said in a statement. "HRT F1 Team, Hispania Racing, also wants the FIA, the Spanish Driving Federation and all the Spanish supporters to take note of their commitment."
