Thomas Holzer will be the lead driver in the Lotus-backed Kodewa team's LMP2 program in the World Endurance Championship.

Holzer, 26, who will drive the team's Lotus-engined Lola B12/80, has won races in German Formula BMW and F3 and made occasional appearances in the ADAC GT Masters series last year.

His co-drivers in the championship – which features the Le Mans 24 Hours, will be veteran Mirco Schultis, who took last year's LMPC title in the Le Mans Series, and Italian GT racer Luca Moro.

The WEC begins with the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring on March 17, which also opens the American Le Mans Series.
