Ex-Formula 1 stars Johnny Herbert and Mark Blundell will take part in the Nurburgring 24 Hours later this year.
The British pair will share a works-run, four-wheel-drive Volkswagen Golf24 (pictured) with Audi DTM driver Edoardo Mortara and sports car racer Franck Mailleux in the legendary race on June 25-26.
"The 24-hour race on the Nordschleife is a big thing," said three time grand prix winner Herbert. "I'm very much looking forward to it."
"I clinched my last F1 victory on the grand prix circuit of the Nurburgring in 1999, so I always like coming back to the track. The Nurburgring has a very special meaning for me."
Volkswagen will run three Golf24s in total. Porsche Supercup champion Rene Rast will share one with Nicki Thiim and Peter Terting while Fredrik Ekblom, Patrick Simon and Thomas Mutsch will drive the other.
