Johnny Herbert and Mark Blundell will return to the Volkswagen Scirocco-R Cup at Brands Hatch this weekend and will be joined by Tiff Needell, Mark Higgins and Nicolas and Anthony Hamilton in guest cars.
Herbert, a three-time grand prix winner, made his debut in the DTM support series at the British circuit last year and then took a pole position at the season-ending round at Hockenheim, while Blundell, another ex-F1 racer, made it onto the podium at the Brands Hatch event in 2010.
"The Scirocco R-Cup is a great racing series," said Herbert. "Last year I already had a nice fight with Mark Blundell at Brands Hatch so I'm really looking forward to another duel with him. At that race he was simply too quick for me but this time I want revenge."
Former F1 racer Needell and three-time British Rally champion Higgins will both have their first races in the series while Hamilton Sr. – the father of 2008 F1 champion Lewis – will be making his competition debut alongside his youngest son Nicolas, who competes in the Renault Clio UK Cup.
Volkswagen motorsport director Kris Nissen said: "Motorsport has a very long tradition in the UK and the audience has a wealth of racing knowledge, so we're really pleased to have again been able to sign renowned entrants for the Legends classification. I'm sure they won't give each other the slightest break on the track.
"I'm also eager to see the Hamilton family duel. I'd love to know for whom Lewis is secretly keeping his fingers crossed."
