The opening day of practice for this weekend's Edmonton Indy has been affected by heavy rain in the Northern Alberta city, which is forecast to persist throughout the day. The rain has created standing water on the new temporary course which forced the practice schedule to be reconfigured for the IZOD IndyCar Series as well as Firestone Indy Lights.

The new schedule calls for Lights practice from 3:00-4:00 p.m. ET, with IndyCar scheduled to take to the track from 4:15-5:45.
