Juho Hanninen will take a 32-second lead into the final day of the Rally Argentina after a commanding performance on this afternoon's loop. The Skoda driver won all three stages following midday service today, meaning he has been quickest on six of the event's eight tests.
Guy Wilks is now in a comfortable second for Skoda UK. He edged ahead of Peugeot UK's Kris Meeke as the reigning Intercontinental Rally Challenge champion rued his choice of hard tires for the afternoon, and was then handed a 19s cushion over the Peugeot when Meeke suffered a puncture near the end of SS8. Meeke admitted that even without his tire issues, Hanninen would have been out of reach today.
Jan Kopecky remains fourth in the second works Skoda, with M-Sport Ford's Federico Villagra staying just ahead of top Group N driver Gabriel Pozzo's Subaru in their battle to be top Argentinean contender.
Nasser Al-Attiyah's tough IRC debut continued as punctures in both right side tyres on SS6 saw his Barwa Skoda plummet down the order. He is now nearly five minutes behind the leaders.
