Romain Dumas remains in the lead of the Le Mans 24 Hours in the #9 Audi after 19 hours, with Anthony Davidson still trying to work the #1 Peugeot back into contention.
Dumas has retained his gap over Marcel Fassler in the second-placed #8 R15, but Davidson is lapping consistently five seconds faster than both Audis and is now back to just one lap down.
Allan McNish is still onboard the #7 but is another lap behind Davidson and not lapping any quicker than his team-mates. Loic Duval is a further lap behind McNish in the ORECA Peugeot.
The #007 Aston Martin has rejoined the race after a long pitstop to fix a gearbox problem. Stefan Mucke came out 20 laps behind the #009 car, which is leading the unofficial petrol class, despite Juan Barazi spinning at the first Mulsanne chicane.
The Strakka HPD still has a firm grip on the LMP2 class. Nick Leventis has taken over from Danny Watts and has a comfortable two-lap lead over the Highcroft car, which has just come into the pits with a suspected water leak.
The leading GT1 car, the Larbre Saleen, has had a lengthy pitstop after Roland Berville spun into the gravel at the final chicane. He came straight into the pits and, enjoying a healthy advantage, the team took the precaution to clear out the gravel and resumed with a six-lap lead over the Young Driver Aston Martin.
The #77 Felbermayr Porsche is looking ever safer in the lead of the GT2 class. Oliver Gavin has retired the #64 Corvette for good after it went up in smoke at Mulsanne corner.
Jean Alesi handed the AF Corse Ferrari over to Giancarlo Fisichella in second place, but trouble struck just five minutes into the next stint. Fisichella arrived at Indianpolis fully locked up with smoke pouring off the front tyres and went straight on down the escape road.
He returned from the escape road with front-end damage and headed for the pits. Fisichella returned to the track three laps behind the Hankook Ferrari, which now lies second.
