San Luis World GT1 start 2011

The FIA GT1 World Championship is set to race in Korea for the first time this year.

The Korean International Circuit in Yeongam, which hosts the country's grand prix, has been granted a provisional date on Sept. 14-16. This slot was previously allocated to a Russian round at Moscow Raceway, which has now been put back two weeks to Sept. 29-30.

Both the Korean and Russian races remain provisional, subject to final confirmation by April 15 at the latest.

Zandvoort and the San Luis circuit in Argentina have been dropped from the original calendar. Korea has taken one of those slots, with the Slovakia Ring being granted its first World GT1 event in June to fill the other gap.
