Romain Grosjean was fit to drive his Renault car in first practice for the Singapore Grand Prix after being unwell on Thursday.
Although test driver Lucas de Grassi was on standby in case the Frenchman could not race, Grosjean felt better after resting in his hotel.
The Renault driver is competing in Singapore for the first time.
